Update for Tuesday, October 21, 2014:  Past Peak

The prime foliage season has come to an end in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee region. There is still a bit of remaining color, but the bold, bright leaves have mostly fallen, leaving just some dark gold and rust colors in the hillsides. The color that does remain stands out nicely against the dark evergreens, even on the cloudier days. For a nice drive regardless of peak color, head north on Route 10 out of Hanover towards Orford. It’s always a treat to wind along the Connecticut River and one mile south of Route 10 in Lyme, you can find the beautiful Edgell Covered Bridge.
