DARTMOUTH-LAKE SUNAPEE regionUpdate for Thursday, October 24, 2013:
Percentage peak: Past peak.
What are you seeing? With the trees gone past peak in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee region, it looks like an end to this year’s beautiful foliage season. There are still a few yellows remaining in the region, particularly in the Cornish area along the NH/VT border.
Where can we see it? With a bit of color remaining in the Cornish area, start your drive there at the picturesque Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, and then head north along Route 12A to Route 10 into Hanover. This ride is pretty year round, with or without leaves in the trees. Winding along the banks of the Connecticut River, you will travel through beautiful countryside and small towns, all the while taking in scenic vistas over the river.
This will be our final foliage report for the 2013 season- we hope you've enjoyed reading! Be sure to check back in early September 2014 for next year's reports.
