GREAT NORTH WOODS Region
Update for Thursday, October 24, 2013:
Percentage peak: Past peak.
What are you seeing? Foliage season has been done for quite a while in the Great North Woods. At this time, all of the leaves have changed and are falling off of the trees. The one upside to the trees shedding their leaves is that there are more stunning mountain views to take in through the bare branches.
Where can we see it? Route 16 just north of Milan Village during sunrise is a nice scenic drive. Then continue to head north through the Thirteen Mile Woods. Along this stretch you’ll pass the Androscoggin Wayside, Mollidgewock State Campground, and will enjoy beautiful views of the Androscoggin River.
This will be our final foliage report for the 2013 season- we hope you've enjoyed reading! Be sure to check back in early September 2014 for next year's reports.
