The Fall season is prime time for most New Hampshire orchardists, with apples, pears, and peaches to harvest.  During the Autumn months you will most likely find pumpkins, apple cider, and fresh fruit pies in addition to the great fresh fruit at most farm outlets.  Many of these growers will offer a reason to visit them during the summer months too!  Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and even cherries are commonly grown on many of these same New Hampshire farms.   Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it in the shade of an apple or peach tree while visiting the farm. Also hike, enjoy a horse or tractor drawn hayride, or visit one of the many farm restaurants and bakeries that are becoming so popular.
