PICK YOUR OWN

The New Hampshire apple harvest season is full of splendor for you and your family to enjoy.  Whether it’s visiting one of your region’s farmers markets, visiting a local farm stand, or experiencing nature’s bounty by going to "Pick Your Own,”  you will be satisfied with the farmers who grow the fruit, the quality, and the entertainment value that New Hampshire fruit growers have to offer.

The Fall season is prime time for most New Hampshire orchardists, with apples, pears, and peaches to harvest.  During the Autumn months you will most likely find pumpkins, apple cider, and fresh fruit pies in addition to the great fresh fruit at most farm outlets.  Many of these growers will offer a reason to visit them during the summer months.  Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and even cherries are commonly grown on many of these same New Hampshire farms.   Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it in the shade of an apple or peach tree while visiting the farm. Also hike, enjoy a horse or tractor drawn hayride, or visit one of the many farm restaurants and bakeries that are becoming so popular.

Please visit www.nhfruitgrowers.org for more information and a complete list of orchards, or click here to download the New Hampshire Harvest-Your-Own Guide guide in PDF format.
