Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region Foliage Report

Some stubborn leaves are still clinging to trees in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region. The area overall is past peak, but some burnt oranges and yellows remain. Hikers may want to spend the last days of autumn exploring the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway, a 51-mile hiking trail that crosses two regions of New Hampshire, and connects Mount Monadnock with Mount Sunapee. For more information on this trail, please visit www.msgtc.org. This region of the state is particularly beautiful and serene in winter – consider making reservations now at a country inn or bed and breakfast where you can cross country ski or snowshoe right from your door.
