The autumn colors are still holding on somewhat in the Monadnock Region, as fall excuses herself to make room for winter. What remains throughout the area is a mix of earthy browns, dull oranges, and golden yellows, all among the evergreen trees. We’re told that the tree lines surrounding lakes and ponds still look pretty colorful here. You must visit this region during the winter to truly appreciate why it’s called the Currier and Ives corner of New Hampshire. Innkeepers are just waiting to welcome you into their homes, serve you hearty country breakfasts and afternoon teas, and provide comfortable chambers where you can relax and reflect. Experience real down home charm as you sample the hospitality of this part of the state.
