White Mountains Region Foliage Report

Amazingly, there is still some fall color in parts of the White Mountains Region. The east end of the Kancamagus Highway, and the Mount Washington Valley are still showcasing warm oranges and harvest gold, especially on the tamarack trees. Mountain tops are covered with snow now, which is just a reminder of what’s to come. Winter up here is unlike anywhere else in the world – will this be your year to try downhill skiing or snowboarding, or to graduate to a black diamond trail? If you think the views are spectacular in fall, just wait until you see them from the top of a mountain during the height of winter. Call Ski New Hampshire at 1-800-887-5464 for snow reports once ski season begins.

This final report was updated on Monday, October 26th, at 1:14pm.
