Description

The Mission of the CHS is to promote the history of Claremont through the presentation of lectures and events. The Society is also committed to preserving Claremont History by maintaining Claremont related items at the Society's History Museum located at 26 Mulberry St. near downtown Claremont. Call for open hours. The Claremont NH History Museum houses the Society's library collection, a children's room, a natural history collection, colonial kitchen, military uniforms, and several important paintings by Scott Leighton. Every summer the museum offers a special exhibit that showcases Claremont NH's rich history and culture. Plan on stopping by to view our extensive collection.
