Discover New England’s own air and space museum, dedicated to New Hampshire space pioneers Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard, featuring hands-on exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space science. Enjoy two floors of permanent and special exhibits on air and space travel, planets, moons and stars, weather on Earth and in space; land a space shuttle or lunar lander. Explore the edge of the known universe in our state-of-the-art planetarium, with our local star show and special productions from around the world. Stargaze or see solar flares in our observatory, take in lunch at the on-site Countdown Cafe, stop in our Science Store for cool toys, science kits, books, T-shir the facility is available for rental for special events and overnight adventures. There is also an observatory, science store The Discovery Center is centrally located off I-93, Exit 15E or 15W. Parking is free. Schedule: June 17 - Labor Day & All School Vacations, open daily 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM; Labor Day - June 16, open Friday - Sunday 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM plus Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day & Columbus Day. Closed all other holidays. Open 1st Friday night each month 6:30 - 9:30 PM.
