The League on NH Craftsmen is a non-profit craft education and marketing organization that promotes the creation and use of fine contemporary and traditional craft. The League's Annual Craftsmen's Fair begins the first Saturday in August and runs for 9 days at the Mount Sunapee Resort, Newbury. Visitors can shop for fine craft all year at the seven League of NH Craftsmen retail galleries that are located throughout the state. Many of the retail galleries also hold classes, demonstrations, and workshops that are open to people of all ages and skill levels. The League offers craft classes, taught by master craftsmen, at its Craft Center/Headquarters in Concord. The Craft Center also features four themed exhibitions each year showcasing work of juried craftspeople. The Grodin Permanent Collection Museum contains more than 300 pieces of craft from the League's early years to the present. The Kira Fournier Library Resource Center has a collection of more has a collection of more than 2,000 craft books and periodicals. The archived history of the League is genuine treasure-trove of material relating to craft and the League dating back to the mid-1920s.
