The Wolfeboro Historical Society manages and offers tours to the pubic in what is known as the Clark House Complex. The 1778 Clark house tells a story of Colonial and Victorian life in Wolfeboro, the hands-on activities in our one-room Pleasant Valley school house from the 1800's takes you back in time, and our replica Antique Fire House displays both engines and pumps from Wolfeboro's past. We are about to unveil our historic 1840's Barn that was gently moved to our site and houses many displays, artifacts and information to help the public search family trees and other genealogy matters. Costumed guides take you through all of the buildings in a tour that takes a bit over an hour. Our mission at the Wolfeboro Historical Society is to encourage interest and learning about the history of the Town of Wolfeboro, NH, by all appropriate means, including the collection, display and care of articles of historic interest pertaining to the history of Wolfeboro, and the ownership, lease or operation of property involved therewith for the benefit of this and future generations. Come travel back in time with your family and friends at our site!
