Description

The Plainfield Historical Society was organized in 1978 for the purpose of promoting interest in the history of the Town of Plainfield. To that end the Society strives to collect, acquire, and preserve artifacts relating to the Town, encourages the preservation of historic structures, and disseminates information relating directly or indirectly to the history of the Town. Offering a lovely local history collection. Also, stage set designed by American artist Maxfield Parrish in 1916. We hold periodic programs related to artist Maxfield Parrish, long time resident of Plainfield. Every Columbus day weekend we have a two day Maxfield Parrish vintage print and collectables sale with exhibits and speakers.
