The Fells Historic Estate & Gardens is one of New England’s finest examples of an early 20th-century summer estate. Discover 83.5 conserved acres of beauty and tranquility; learn the legacy of its founder—diplomat and statesman John Milton Hay—during historic guided tours of the 22-room Colonial Revival home; explore forest succession and nature’s diversity while walking woodland trails; and enjoy five acres of renowned gardens. While here visit the woodland Fairy Village and enjoy views of lake and mountain while relaxing on the Veranda. Grounds are open to the public 365 days each year. The House is open seasonally and offers historic guided tours of the House and gardens May through October. Shop and art gallery on premise.
