Just because the sun sets doesn’t mean the fun stops. Across New Hampshire, ski areas keep the lights on, inviting you to stay slopeside under the stars for thrilling runs, quiet cruising, or a few spins in the terrain park. Crisp night air, glowing trails, and a whole new mountain vibe make night skiing and riding a magical way to experience winter in the Granite State.

Cranmore Mountain Resort, North Conway

Set in the heart of North Conway—America’s #1 Ski Town—Cranmore Mountain Resort lights up the night with a fun twilight skiing and snowboarding scene. When the sun dips behind the White Mountains, a selection of beginner and beginner-intermediate trails stays open, along with a terrain park for riders looking to sharpen their skills under the lights. Night skiing is offered Wednesdays and Saturdays, plus nightly during holiday and vacation weeks. Looking to keep the fun going? Cap off your evening with a few high-energy runs down the tubing hill.

Crotched Mountain Resort, Bennington

For skiers and riders who like to stay out late, Crotched Mountain’s Midnight Madness is back and brighter than ever. This signature event keeps the lifts spinning until midnight on five select dates, turning the mountain into a high-energy after-dark playground. Enjoy giveaways, $10 rentals, glowing gear everywhere you look, and a DJ keeping the energy level high.  If you can’t make it til midnight, you can still make turns under the lights with night skiing offered Tuesday through Saturday until 9 p.m., making Crotched a go-to spot for evening laps all season long.

Granite Gorge Mountain Park, Roxbury

Small in size but big on charm, Granite Gorge Mountain Park offers a classic, community-driven night skiing experience in the Monadnock Region. When the lights come on, skiers and riders can enjoy a relaxed mix of beginner and intermediate terrain—ideal for families, those just starting out, and anyone looking for low-key evening turns. Known for its friendly vibe and affordable approach to winter fun, Granite Gorge is a great spot to slow things down, sharpen your skills, and enjoy the simple joy of skiing and riding after dark.

Gunstock Mountain Resort, Gilford

From mellow evening cruisers to high-energy park laps, Gunstock Mountain Resort shines after the sun goes down. The mountain is home to Blundersmoke, one of the largest lighted terrain parks in the Northeast, making it a standout for freestyle skiers and riders looking to push their limits under the lights. Night skiing and riding begins at 3 p.m.—perfect timing to sneak in a summit run and take in sweeping sunset views before darkness settles in. Want to mix it up? Gunstock’s illuminated tubing hill adds another dose of after-dark fun to your winter night out.

King Pine, Madison

King Pine Ski Area offers a laid-back way to ease into night skiing, with twilight skiing and riding available daily from 3:30 to 6 p.m. as the sky shifts from daylight to dusk.
