Live Free

Here in New Hampshire, “Live Free or Die” is more than just a motto. It’s a way of life. And with it comes a responsibility to take full advantage of all the epic adventures the Granite State has to offer. Whether it’s ATVing in the Great North Woods, ziplining through forested landscapes, hiking our towering peaks, or testing out the trails on a high-flying mountain bike—you’ll be tuckered out in no time.
Paddle It Out

Hungry for more? Why not spend time braving some of New Hampshire’s waterways. There are plenty of places to paddle so you’ll have no trouble finding Class IV rapids to challenge or locating gentle waters to float on. Or, head to the beautiful Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region and rent a canoe or kayak on the Connecticut River. National Geographic’s “Digital Nomad” Robert Reid spent time in the area and recommends the trip himself. Afterwards, grab some food in the college town of Hanover and start winding down.
Clean Up, Head Out
After all that outdoor excitement, maybe it’s time to corral the crew and hit up some arts and culture attractions. The Merrimack Valley is home to a thriving arts and culture scene, including the Currier Museum of Art: a world-class museum featuring the famous works of American and European artists. Or, catch a show at the Palace Theater in Manchester, where live performances grace the stage on summer nights in the city. And don’t forget about the Seacoast! Hit up Portsmouth for more shows, locally-brewed beer and fresh seafood food.
