Concord Community Music School

Offering private lessons, choruses and performing groups, virtual instruction, music therapy, and much more, Concord Community Music School is a place for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to find community in creating music. The Music School offers high quality concerts and performances from many different genres - classical, folk, jazz, rock, and more, many of which are free for the public to attend. The 50 teaching artists on our faculty empower students in more than 15 states to learn new skills, overcome challenges, develop musical bonds, and achieve excellence. And with more than 50% of students receiving some form of financial assistance, the Music School lives its core institutional value of access for all.

The Concord Community Music School offers its facilities to serve a multitude of rental needs, from business meetings to concerts to creative retreats. The two large performance spaces — the lovely Recital Hall, formerly a church sanctuary, and the multi-purpose Community Room (each with a 150-person capacity) each feature a Steinway B concert grand piano. Our meeting rooms (20-person capacity) are available for breakout sessions or staging areas, and we offer multiple smaller music studios for practice, depending on availability. We also offer use of our small but fully equipped kitchen. The building offers wireless internet connection, is handicap accessible, and has free parking in our lot at 24 Fayette Street. Whether you are looking for a band to perform at a wedding or other celebratory event or would like to find someone to perform a particular type of music, the professional musicians affiliated with the Concord Community Music School can’t be beat! Many are members of one or more ensembles, and all those listed on the "Hire Performers" page of our website welcome you to contact them to determine fit, cost, availability and so forth. CCMS does not refer individual artists, nor are we involved in any way in issuing contracts or making arrangements. But we are honored to have these superb musicians and artists as a part of the Concord Community Music School and proud to help them get the word out about their professional work beyond the School.
