Alpine Advent

Overview

Alpine Advent brings New Hampshire's first authentic European-inspired Christmas market to Waterville Valley's Town Square. From November 28 through December 31, 2025, visitors can experience the magic of traditional European Christmas markets without leaving the White Mountains.

Twelve custom Belgian wooden chalets showcase 18 New Hampshire artisans offering handcrafted jewelry, fiber arts, custom woodworking, heritage maple products from 6th-generation Benton's Sugar Shack, local honey from White Mountain Apiary, and authentic German cuisine.

Sip warm Glühwein (traditional mulled wine) or hot cocoa, gather around crackling fire pits, and discover unique gifts handcrafted by talented NH makers. The market features live carolers, acoustic performances, and a festive alpine atmosphere that makes the perfect backdrop for holiday memories.

Special events include the tree lighting ceremony on November 29 and New Year's Eve fireworks on December 31. The market operates on weekends (Fridays 4-8pm, Saturdays 12-8pm, Sundays 12-6pm) from November 28 through December 21, then daily during Christmas Week (December 22-31, closed Christmas Day).

Free admission and family-friendly. Alpine Advent is located at Town Square in the heart of Waterville Valley, steps from lodging, restaurants, and winter recreation. Whether you're a local celebrating the season or planning a White Mountains getaway, Alpine Advent offers an authentic European market experience celebrating the best of New Hampshire craftsmanship and holiday tradition.
