Governor Wentworth Historic Site

Overview

Explore remains of a Northern plantation built before the American Revolution. Built by NH's second Royal Governor, John Wentworth, the mansion burned in 1820. Artifacts from an archaeological dig reveal details about daily life/work methods of the privileged class of the period. The park is unstaffed but is open to the public year 'round at no charge.
