Oar House, The
Overview
The Oar house one of the longest standing restaurants in Portsmouth NH with history dating back to 1803. We serve fresh Seafood, hand cut Steaks, eclectic cuisine and a raw bar. We are home to one of the largest waterfront deck in Portsmouth that is open in summer and features live music inside during fall and winter. We have on site, waterfront parking as well for all of our guests. We offer over 100 different types of wine and craft cocktails catering to the current season
We also offer iconic historical features that date back to when the building was constructer in 1803, such as the water well in our dining room that was used as part of the underground railroad. We have model clipper ships of those that originally sailed to Portsmouth and right up to our front door.
We host private events and have event space indoor and outdoor for 50+ people and would be happy to cater to whatever specific needs you may have.
