Currier Museum of Art

Currier Museum front entrance

Overview

Great art is just the beginning at the Currier, where you can enjoy family friendly programs along with great works of art by world renowned artists such as Picasso, Monet, O'Keeffe and Warhol. The beautifully expanded Museum includes the Winter Garden Café, a Museum Shop, classrooms and a large auditorium. Private rentals also available. The Museum also owns the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Zimmerman House. A beautifully preserved mid-century modern Usonian home that is the only Wright building open to the public in New England. The Currier is open until 9 p.m. for Currier After Hours events. Consult the website for more information. Creative Studio Saturdays (on the second Saturday of each month) offer art-making activities and tours for the whole family.

Weddings Information

A Currier wedding offers you an exclusive setting and infinite creative possibilities, truly allowing your vision to become a work of art... Have your dream wedding ceremony on the landing of the grand marble staircase in the 1929 Historic Court. This Italian Renaissance inspired room with its illustrious mosaic floor makes for an elegant backdrop for your cherished photos. Then have your reception in the Winter Garden amongst the beautiful 1930s mosaics and stunning wall mural by conceptual artist, Sol LeWitt. The Winter Garden can accommodate up to 150 people for a seated reception and up to 195 people for a cocktail reception. For groups over 200 consider a museum-wide cocktail reception as an impressive alternative. Visit http://www.currier.org/about/private-events for more information.
