Overview
Based in Littleton, New Hampshire, Theatre UP is a nonprofit performing arts organization serving the North Country and White Mountains region through live theatre, arts education, and community programming. Since 1978, Theatre UP has helped keep the performing arts accessible and vibrant for residents and visitors alike.
The organization produces a seasonal lineup of musicals, plays, youth theatre productions, workshops, and educational experiences that support cultural engagement and regional tourism. Mainstage performances are held at the historic Littleton Opera House and draw audiences from across northern New Hampshire and Vermont.
In addition to its productions, Theatre UP creates opportunities for local performers, students, educators, volunteers, and creatives to participate in the arts in meaningful and lasting ways. The organization is currently developing Theatre UP on Main, a renovated downtown arts and education center expected to open in September 2026. The new facility will expand year-round programming while supporting theatre education, rehearsals, workshops, and smaller performances.
