2026 Democracy Festival
Overview
Plan on Spending Saturday, August 1 with us in Peterborough for the Annual Granny D Walk and 2026 Democracy Festival! The walk will begin at 9 am near Granny D's former home on Cobb Meadow Rd in Dublin and will cover approximately 6.2 miles to Depot Park in Peterborough for an afternoon of celebrating democracy with music, speakers, entertainment for the kids, food and CAKE!
John Bonifaz of Free Speech For People will be our keynote speaker and we’ll also hear from one of our former interns, Charlie Savage, on the importance of high school voter registration.
We’ll have music by FolkSoul Duo, Eve Pierce, Ben Radcliffe and Sarah Mausner while we enjoy a potluck lunch with goodies from La Piñata Mexican Grill in Jaffrey, as well as free ice cream donated by Ben & Jerry's!
There will be lots of family friendly activities such as caricature artist Sophia Asbury, face painting and democracy fan making for the kids.
Be sure to RSVP so we know how many to plan for!
