Overview

There’s no rule saying you can’t grow your carrots next to your cosmos, so why is it that we feel the need to separate our flowers from our food? Join Willa Coroka of The Magpie’s Apprentice to discuss the variety of ways you can incorporate edible crops amongst your pre-existing or future flower gardens. From peppers tucked amongst the peonies, to kiwis winding along the front porch, there are so many ways to make your yard appealing to both eyes as well as tummies. Foodscaping is revolutionizing yards across the country. Let’s figure out if this new trend can catch on in your neighborhood!

The Demonstration Gardens at NH Audubon’s Massabesic Center provide a place for sharing best practices in eco-friendly home and community gardening, which enhance human health and well-being and wildlife habitat.
