Gunstock Hillclimb returns for Laconia Motorcycle Week
Overview
GILFORD, N.H. -- Gunstock Mountain Resort is scheduled to host its annual Motorcycle Hillclimb again on Wednesday, June 17. The Hillclimb is Gunstock’s premier event of the summer, and it has been taking place for many years as one of the most popular activities in the area during Laconia Motorcycle Week. Gunstock has, once again, partnered with Ridge Runners Promotions to deliver an impressive display of gravity-defying determination and stunt riding for the occasion. Riders will attempt to ascend the super-steep landing hill of Gunstock’s historic, 70-meter Torger Tokle ski jump, and Eastcoastin Enterprises will return to wow the crowd with three motorcycle stunt shows throughout the day. In addition, a Bike Show presented by Deadbeat Customs will place some amazing motorcycles on display for all event attendees to admire. Retail vendors and a variety of food trucks add to the festival atmosphere of the event.
Gunstock’s Hillclimb traditionally attracts a multi-generational lineup of competitors – many within the same family. Participants range in age from pre-teen to 70-plus. Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts visiting the Lakes Region for Laconia Motorcycle Week are expected to attend this annual highlight of the week’s activities.
Gates are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 9 a.m. Admission is $30, and free for children 10 and under. Hillclimb attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages (maximum cooler size is 14 inches). Beer and RTD beverages will be available for purchase onsite. No backpacks, bikes, large bags, tents, umbrellas, glass bottles, or animals are allowed.
Gunstock’s 262-site campground will be open for the season and campsites are available within walking distance of the Hillclimb venue. Gunstock’s Adventure Park activities will not be operating on June 17, but the resort will be welcoming guests for Adventure Park activities on Saturdays and Sundays through June 21, then operating Thursday through Sunday through late September.
