Overview
Joey Alexander is a GRAMMY®-nominated jazz pianist and composer from Bali, Indonesia, widely recognized as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary jazz. He burst onto the global scene with his 2015 debut My Favorite Things on Motéma Music and has since released seven acclaimed albums across Motéma, Verve Records, and Mack Avenue Records.
Alexander has earned three GRAMMY nominations, including Best Instrumental Album for My Favorite Things and Best Improvised Jazz Solo for "Giant Steps" and "Countdown." His albums My Favorite Things and Countdown both reached #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts, while Eclipse climbed to #3.
He has performed at the White House for Barack Obama, as well as at the Carnegie Hall and the Grammy Awards, and has been profiled on 60 Minutes.
