Peace & Justice Conversations: Legislative Ethics Complaint
Overview
Sharon Racusin and Mohammad Dana, with support from the NH Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East, are determined to show that the four NH legislators who attended the 50 States 1 Israel lobbying junket were in violation of NH's ethics rules. They were inspired by the VT members of Jewish Voice for Peace who filed a complaint in January 2026 against five Vermont House lawmakers for accepting an all-expenses-paid trip to Israel. The complaint was dismissed, but garnered media and public attention to the issue of Israel's influence over U.S. officials and policy. The NH effort also hopes to succeed in shining a light on this trip, alerting the people of NH to the fact that a foreign government is giving favors to our legislators in an effort to influence policies that should be in the hands of local people. Come learn about their work and how you might do this in your state if you are outside NH!
Sharon Racusin lives in Hanover, NH and is a member of Jewish Voice for Peace VT NH and the JVP VT NH representative to the NH Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East.
Mohammad Dana is a Dover-based activist and member of NH Peace Action, working to raise awareness about Palestinian rights and the influence of Zionist politics in the United States.
