Overview

Explore the trails of Sheldrick Forest, The Nature Conservancy’s 227-acre preserve in Wilton, NH. Discover old-growth white pines towering over 150 feet, centuries-old hardwoods, historic stone walls, and an abandoned road — and learn how this remarkable land came to be protected. Guides Nikki Andrews (author, steward, and outdoor enthusiast) and Myrilla Hartkopf (The Nature Conservancy) will lead the hike and share the natural and cultural history of this hidden gem. Wildlife sightings — including bears, deer, moose, and hawks — are possible. No dogs permitted on the preserve.

Part of Wilton's week long celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, May 2-10.
