The Fishways provides enriching educational programs and experiences about the nature of the Merrimack River and greater Manchester, NH area. Description The Amoskeag Fishways offers award winning environmental education programs, museum quality exhibits, including live animals, family centered special events, live animal programs, innovative teacher workshops, and more. In May and early June, visitors can view migrating fish on their journey upstream in our underwater viewing windows. This is possible through a partnership between Eversource of NH, the NH Audubon Society, the NH Fish and Game Department, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The Fishways has been providing quality education programs for people of all ages for over 20 years. The Fishways is managed by NH Audubon and is located on the beautiful Merrimack River in Manchester, NH at 4 Fletcher Street, exit 6 off of Interstate 293. The center is open year-round, Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm. During the fish migration season in the spring the center is open every day. There is no admission cost, but we encourage donations of $2 per person, or $5 for a family.
